What is the Ohio TechCred Program?

TechCred helps Ohioans learn new skills and helps employers build a stronger workforce with the skills needed in a technology-infused economy. All the trainings can be completed online!

These technology-focused credentials take a year or less to complete and prepare current and future employees for the technology jobs Ohio employers need.

How It Works:

Determine what marketing skills your employees need.

Choose from Merit Marketing Bootcamp, Mini Courses and Micro Courses for high-quality training.

Submit your application to the Ohio TechCred website.

Register for training at Merit [Here] in the chosen programs.

Upload "Proof of Completion":

Submit proof of completed training.

Get reimbursed for up to $2,000 per credential.

Reimbursements will be up to $2,000 per credential.
Employers are eligible to receive up to $30,000 per funding round.

Employer Eligibility

Any Ohio employer registered with the secretary of state and with a physical location in Ohio that employs Ohio resident W-2 employees is eligible to apply for the Tech Cred reimbursable grant. Employers of all sizes and in all industries are encouraged to apply.
